HP Galaxy of Gratitude Game
OBJECTIVE:
Promote the HP PurchaseEdge Rewards program to members and get them to redeem their points to get new printing supplies, or hardware over the holidays.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Small-to-midsize businesses with HP PurchaseEdge Rewards members that buy their printing supplies from HP. The more they buy, the more points they get. The points can be redeemed for paper, toner, printers, or scanners.
ROLE AND TEAM:
Directed the developers, project managed, art direction, design, UI, UX,
production, client communication. Collaborated with a copywriter.
PROCESS:
Researched holiday ideas, traditions and trends, braintstormed with a
copywriter to create overarching ideas and sold to client at HP.
TIMELINE:
Rapid two month delivery from concept to client use.
CHOSEN CONCEPT
They received an email and direct mail from HP to visit galaxyofgratitude.com. When they visit the site, they will be launched in to an online game where they travel through the galaxy to different planets, explore though animated interactions, to receive special discounts, promotions and can redeem their points to get printing supplies, or donate them to charity.
WHAT DO WE WANT THEM TO DO
Visit the site, explore the different planets, have fun, redeem their points, get a printer, scanner, toner, or paper.

RESULTS
We broke the servers.
We hired Jonathan Ball to illustrate the elements of our game. He sent me the assets and I applied them to the layouts and created the designs and layered assets. I supplied the final assets to the developer
To excite our customers, we created a printed calendar that we provided to them as giveaways and to remind them to look for the game on December 1. These were very popular and we ran out quickly.
